Italy can finally breathe. Disappeared last Friday in the Bois de Ventimille when he had just arrived with his family in a campsite for the holidays, a 5 -year -old child was found alive on Sunday morning.
The child, diagnosed with autistic, had moved away from the site without his parents – riding the tent – realizing it, reports the local media Corriere Torino.
A strong mobilization
Research was intense all weekend. Police, civil protection, cynophile units, inhabitants, tourists and volunteers … A hundred volunteers mobilized to try to find the little boy. It was one of them who finally spotted it in the Woods of Ventimille.
According to our colleagues, the child was huddled in a hollow hidden by the brambles, about 1.5 km from the campsite. “He was in the grass and the brambles, then he moved. And we understood that he was alive, ”said the volunteer, very moved. “Me too, I have children, I immediately thought of them. And I cried with joy. »»
The child is safe and sound
The little boy was aware and apparent good health when he was found. Supported by an ambulance, he was taken to Imperia hospital for exams. He will stay there a few days with his parents before a return scheduled in Turin.
According to the Italian media, psychologists played a decisive role in this research. Alerted to the child’s profile, they oriented the emergency services to the isolated, calm and hidden areas. “We were advised to concentrate research in burrows or in the most hidden places, where the child could have taken refuge,” said the region’s prefect. A strategy that turned out to be decisive.
Many messages of support
At the campsite, solidarity did not weaken throughout the weekend. Residents and tourists actively participated in research. Since the good news, support messages have multiplied according to our colleagues. Some people, reassured of healthy knowledge, would even have sent gifts to the little Allen.
The family, faithful for years for this establishment, warmly thanked all the people mobilized. “We can see the bright side of a situation that alarmed all of Italy,” concluded the owner of the campsite with relief.
