In Brussels, together for the Republic pleads for an inclusive dialogue

Gathered in conclave from August 12 to 13 in Brussels (Belgium), party executives Ensemble for the Republic called for the holding of an inclusive dialogue with a view to restoring peace and national cohesion in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

During two days of exchanges and reflection, the members of the party led by Moïse Katumbi denounced the looting of the country’s natural resources and reaffirmed that national unity and territorial integrity remain non -negotiable principles.

On the question of compliance with constitutional deadlines, the Katumbists were clear:

“The only source of legitimacy lies in free, transparent and credible elections, guaranteed by an impartial electoral process”.

They rejected any attempted illegal mandate extension by legal arrangements or manipulations, affirming their attachment to legitimacy from the ballot boxes.

The party has also announced a deep organizational reform aimed at strengthening its effectiveness, increasing its capacity for action and preparing for the next electoral and political deadlines.

The overall members for the Republic have decided to launch an intensive implementation campaign through all the country’s territories. Objective: to expand the militant base, to federate the forces of change and mobilize the energy of the diaspora.

The fight against corruption, impunity and instrumentalization of justice is among the priorities of the party, which campaigns for the establishment of a real rule of law.

Together for the Republic calls for all the democratic forces, citizen movements and civil society organizations to unite their efforts to end the dictatorship and restore legitimate power from credible elections.

The party members encouraged their president, Moïse Katumbi, to intensify the mobilization of the political and social forces engaged in the defense of democratic achievements, in order to counter any attempted governance outside of constitutional prescribes.

This conclave was held under the chairmanship of Moïse Katumbi, in the presence of members of the steering committee, with the exception of Solomon Kalonda, prevented for health reasons.
