The French Masters of Longboard 2025 Masters championships offered a beautiful show this Saturday on the central beach of Lacanau. Under ideal conditions for discipline – long and 1 meter clean waves – 9 -foot board specialists (+2.80 m) clashed in five age categories (+40, +50 and +60 in men, +40 and +50 in women).
The day smiled at the premises Jérémy Boisson (Lacanau Surf Club). Carried by his audience, he imposed himself in the +40 year old men’s category with a solid surfing and a total of 16.93 pts in the first round, the best score of the whole competition. For his first national title, he also leaves with a new Banana Surf Board board, offered by local surf shop.
Among the +50 year olds, Thomas Bilbao (Montalivet Kokoloko Surf Club) retains his title acquired in 2024 by dominating Thierry André. In +60 years, it was the legend of the surf of large waves Michel Larronde (Marbella Surf Club) which argued its experience and its sense of placement to win gold.
On the female side, Carla Duffy (Marbella Surf Club) largely dominated the category +40 years thanks to an impeccable rear surfing.
In +50 years, the victory returned to Caroline Dupouy (Montalivet Kokoloko SC), arrived at the last minute but perfectly in legs to win.
Congratulations to all the champions, congratulations to all the competitors and the Surf Gironde committee, organizer of the championships.
