A man armed with a knife arrested on the Place de la Riponne
Police intervened Tuesday to master an individual with worrying behavior. An agent had to point his service weapon so that the suspect drops his blade.

Lausanne police intervened this Tuesday on the place of the Riponne, currently under constructionto master an individual with worrying behavior. The man, shirtless and equipped with a large backpack, wore a knife, which sparked the alert shortly before noon, declares our colleagues “Blick».
Despite the repeated injunctions of the police, he refused to let go and tried to move away. Faced with this situation, one of the agents had to point his service weapon to him.
The man finally placed the knife, allowing the police to challenge it without recourse to violence. No one injured is to be deplored. Man was then led to Psychiatry service liaison for medical management. The municipal police of Lausanne confirmed the intervention at the end of the afternoon.
