How the firefighters defeated the impressive metal blaze
The emergency services had to face technical challenges to extinguish the fire that occurred Sunday in a waste center. The danger was completely dismissed around midnight.

For the Bader SA group, hit by the incident, it is not completely closed. “The receptions of goods are still disrupted, but we hope to be able to reopen normally Tuesday or Wednesday,” says Frédéric Leimgruber, CEO of Metabader SA. However, he says he is “relieved”. “The fire was under control fairly quickly and no injuries were to be deplored.”

If the origin of the fire remains to be determined, the disaster company quickly mentioned the track of a faulty lithium-ion battery which would have fueled fire. A similar hypothesis was raised two days earlier to Brightwhere a similar incident took place.

At the peak of the intervention, for which the alert was given a little before 1 p.m., more than 50 firefighters from the SDIS la Mèbre, Lausanne and the surrounding region were activated against the flames.
