These superb gardens were designed in 1758 by Charles Alexis de Montpellier. They have evolved over time but they have always kept their harmony, even if they have the distinction of associating three different styles: French style, Italian style and English style.
Impossible to be insensitive to the charm of this vast space dedicated to nature in various forms. Let’s take the basics with the French style which pursues its taste for symmetry, faithful to the spirit of the Versailles gardens. The English style wants to imitate the nature which it reproduces in an artificial way. And the Italian style that spares surprise effects and puts water in the spotlight.
In the gardens ofAnnevoiewater has been flowing naturally for over 260 years. Without recourse to any machinery, only thanks to natural elevations. The gardens are crossed by a network of canals on the surface as well as in the basement. A system that is both simple and brilliant.
