A meeting of the UN Security Council on the hostages in Gaza Tuesday
The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on the issue of hostages in Gaza on Tuesday, the Israeli ambassador announced on Sunday. Danny Danon, an ambassador of Israel to the United Nations, announced this meeting on social networks, a few days after the publication of videos showing two very weakened Israeli hostages.
Hamas will only allow access to hostages “only if humanitarian corridors are open”
Hamas said on Sunday that it will only allow the ICRC access to the Israeli Gaza hostages if humanitarian corridors are open to Palestinian territory, according to a press release from its armed branch. “Qassam brigades are ready to respond positively and accept any request from the Red Cross to deliver food and medication to enemy prisoners,” said this press release:
To accept this, we stipulate that humanitarian corridors must be opened normally and permanently for the passage of food and drugs to all our people in all areas of the Gaza Strip.
