Mitsubishi returned to Belgium in 2025 with an electric SUV

After a shy and slow return to Europe, Mitsubishi will finally relaunch its sales of new cars in Belgium! A recovery which will be carried out quickly since it will start from the fourth quarter of this year 2025.

In Belgium, the Japanese brand range will consist of four SUVs: ASX, Grandis, Outlander as well as the second generation of the Eclipse Cross. Only offered with hybrid engines, ASX and Grandis are actually nothing other than rebadged twins from the latest Renault Captur et Symbioz. L’Outlander Only there will only be a rechargeable hybrid variant. As for the Eclipse Cross, it will be a whole new 100 % electric model!

The new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 100 % electric presented on September 17 in Brussels!

To mark his return to Belgium, Mitsubishi has also decided to present a brand new model: the Eclipse Cross. On September 17 in Brussels, the Japanese brand will indeed lift the veil on the new 100 % electric generation of its SUV. A second version that will have nothing to do with the first since it will be a version revised by Mitsubishi of the Renault Scenic. Like the latter, the Eclipse Cross will exist in a large autonomy version which should be able to travel up to 623 km per lot of ions. An average autonomy version, in the maximum range of 430 km, will follow in 2026.

A “range of models perfectly suited to the Belgian market”

On the occasion of the announcement of the brand’s return to Belgium, Frank Krol, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Europe, said that “our new range of models is perfectly suited to the Belgian market. We offer competitive SUVs in all the main segments and with electrified engines. Belgium is the sixth European automotive market, so it is a logical step in our growth strategy. »Hopefully that the brand regains the hair of the beast and quickly offers something else on the old continent than rebadged Renault…
