Environment Canada invites the population to take shelter in the event of a violent thunderstorm, since the latter can be accompanied by strong gusts and hail which can damage buildings or cause serious injuries.
Strong rains can also cause sudden floods and harm visibility on the roads.
The humidx factor will reach 38 at the end of the afternoon in the region, while the mercury should go up to 30 degrees Celsius.
The most recent thunderstorms in the region, July 17, caused several floods, both in Quebec and Lévis.
