Montreal police are investigating a criminal fire of a vehicle on Wednesday to Thursday in the Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough in the west of the island.
The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called at 11:40 p.m. for a fire vehicle in a residential parking lot on Boulevard de Pierrefonds, near Louis-Fréchette rue.
The firefighters of the Montreal Fire Security Service who have mastered the flames located incendiary equipment on site, which suggests a fire in the criminal character.
The vehicle has undergone significant damage caused by fire, which has also damaged a neighboring vehicle, said SPVM spokesperson Johany Charland.
According to the first information obtained from the witnesses, a suspect was seen setting fire to the vehicle before fleeing in an unknown direction.
