The city of Neuchâtel wants to greet and reward the exemplary actions carried out by young people aged 12 to 25 in favor of social cohesion, sustainability or respect for human dignity. One year in two, the Citizenship Prize will become the Citizen Youth Prize.
(Keystone-ATS) “Neuchâtel young people embodies a precious force of commitment, whose innovative and dynamic initiatives actively contribute to a more united and sustainable society,” said the city of Neuchâtel on Tuesday. The latter has given the price of citizenship to a person, a collective or an association since 2014 since 2014.
To mark this evolution, the creation of the visual of the first edition of the Citizen Youth Prize was entrusted to the Academy of Meuron. “This collaboration makes it possible to make young artists aware of the theme of citizenship while highlighting their contribution,” said the city. Among the 17 posters offered, that of Chloé Cordor has been retained and will illustrate the launch of the price.
The price of citizenship (pairs years) and the price of citizen youth (odd years) will each be equipped with 5,000 francs. The allocation of prices remains entrusted to an independent jury, renewed for the occasion. The choice of jury, made up of seven members of civil society, is then subject to the municipal council for validation.
Applications for the first edition of the Citizen Youth Prize are open today. The files are to be submitted until September 30. The price of the price is scheduled for December 2.
