Olympique Lyonnais is advancing well in its transfer window. Despite sanctions and budgetary restrictions, the Gones welcomed the central defender Ruben Kluivert, the winger Afonso Moreira and midfielder Pavel Sulc. But after the departure of Lucas Perri to Leeds United, the new Rhodanian management was looking for a new titular porter, although the services of Rémy Descamps were satisfactory for Paulo Fonseca during the summer pre-season.
Several tracks had then emerged, but the goalkeeper market remained perilous this summer. OL attempted the blow for Dominik Greif (28 years old), the goalkeeper of Mallorca who came out of a successful season with the 10th in Liga. And after two offers postponed by the island club, a final offensive of € 5 million bonus included made Pablo Ortells, the sports director of the Baléares Club. For his part, Dominik Greif had pushed to the RCD Mallorca to join Lyon.
OL is advancing very well on its transfer window
Before the start of the season, the Gones were therefore able to register their new goalkeeper, as confirmed by the Lyonnais press release: “Olympique Lyonnais is pleased to announce the arrival of the international goalkeeper Slovak Dominik Greif, from the RCD Mallorca, for 4 seasons, until June 30, 2029. The transfer amounts to € 4M, to which can be added € 1.25 million in bonuses as well as 15 % profit on a possible future capital gain.”
The 28 -year -old Slovak arrived at the end of the contract in a year and returned to the OL financial boxes. He already has international experience (5 selections since 2019) and preferred the Rhone project, while LOSC also had an eye on him to make him the successor to Lucas Chevalier, who will join PSG. OL therefore advances and should then enlist one or two offensive elements, see others, if departures are confirmed.
