One of the most sought after fugitives in Canada stopped at Montreal-Trudeau Airport

Montreal-One of the most sought after fugitives in Canada, Jonathan Ouelle-Gendron, was arrested on Saturday afternoon at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, when he returned to the country.

The police of the Airport Unit of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), assisted by the Mascouche Major Crime Division and the Canada Border Services Agency, arrested Ouelet-Gendron, 26.

The man was wanted by the Saskatoon police service by virtue of several mandates of PanCanadian arrests for 14 accusations, including first degree murder, drug trafficking and multiple accusations related to firearms.

Ouelet-Gendron was sought in connection with the murder of Brandon Baxandall, 29, which occurred in the Nutana district of Saskatoon in May 2022, can be read on the website of the Bolo program, an initiative aimed at encouraging citizens to keep their eye open for the most wanted suspects in Canada.

The website indicates that Ouel-Gendron has several links in the Grand Toronto and in Greater Montreal, but that investigators believed that he could be anywhere in Canada. It is also specified that humans are used to using false identity documents.

Ouelet-Gendron is held by the SQ by its appearance, which should take place Sunday at the Montreal courthouse.
