OnePlus Pad Lite: The new affordable Android tablet is starting in India with a 90 Hz screen and a battery of 9,340 mAh

OnePlus presented its affordable new generation tablet, the PAD Lite, during the ONEPLUS summer launch event at the beginning of the month. Today, the brand has just officially announced the arrival of PAD Lite on the Indian market. It succeeds directly at the OnePlus Pad Go (currently available at $ 196.94 on Amazon) released at the end of 2023 and provides decent improvements compared to the latest generation model in terms of processor and battery.

More specifically, the PAD Lite is equipped with a Mediatek Helio G100 chipset (an improvement compared to the Helio G99 of the PAD Go) Pad Go) coupled with 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, there is no microSD card location, which means that the tablet does not support the storage extension. The tablet battery is now more important than before, with a large battery of 9,340 mAh (against 8,000 mAh for the PAD Go) and supports the 33 W wired load.

In addition, the Android economical tablet is equipped with an 11 -inch LCD screen offering a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The screen also offers 70.8 % coverage of the NTSC color space, a maximum brightness of 500 nits and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. OnePlus has slightly reduced the size of the PAD Lite screen compared to the 11.35 inches of the PAD Go.

In terms of software, it works with Oxygenos 15 based on Android 15, and there is no words on the brand’s software updates. However, the brand claims that the tablet will remain smooth for 3 years. Needless to say, OnePlus has also revised down the camera compared to the latest generation model. The tablet now has a 5 MP camera on both sides. On the other hand, the PAD Go was delivered with an 8 megapixel camera at the front and rear.

Among the other features, let us quote an index of resistance to dust and water IP42, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2 and quadruple speakers with high resolution audio and support for SBC, AAC, APTX, APTX HD and LDAC.
