Each year, the Lana is announced among the podium contenders, if not better, during the French Cup of the Minimes Leagues. And it is not this 2025 edition that will prove the opposite, since our minimal was looking for a very beautiful second place, this weekend in Lens. Carrying with them the honorary title of vice-champions of France in the mixed classification, with 343 points. Only the Ile de France, and its incomparable population in France, resisted our small neo-Aquitans.
Hats off to our young ladies, who also finished 2nd in the female classification (169pts). But a title of vice-champion of France in the mixed classification, this is done precisely as a team, so let’s not forget the 6th place acquired by our boys (146pts)! But how do you score all these points? Answer: instead. The first of each event scores 14 points, then the number of points descends crescendo for the following places.
And performances at 14 points, the league had several, mainly among the girls elsewhere. Among them, Kiesse Mouanga-Fraigenaud (EPA86), who swapped his usual 80m flat, for an 80m hedges this time. Same sentence for her opponents, she finished first, in 11.51 (+0.7 wind) precisely. Personal record at the key, which comes out at the right ideal. And as if that was not enough for her, she then finished 5th length, with a leap to 5m42 (+0.2 of wind). <
His club comrade, Emma Bossard (EPA86) followed the same peak in form by enhancing his height in high jump in an additional centimeter, thanks to a jump to 1m66, which no one was able to beat during this competition. If not Lilou Guillon (AJ Montmoreau) but she is already from home (Lilou competed in outside classification).
No personal record for Violette Pradon-Jarry (Limoges Athlé) on the 200m hurdles, but also a first place, in 29.60 (+1.3 wind). And that is the essential! In New Aquitaine, we also know how to launch, and far more! As Ilyana Nougaret (CA Brive) has shown us, who won the hammer competition with an authoritarian jet at 52m72, which allows him to finish this season by postponing his additional small meter record.
After confiscating the first two places in the female height, our technical staff thought it would be good to mark our property also on the male competition. For this, they out the big artillery: Marley Mahoungou (EPA86). You are not made to last the suspense longer, it was he who won the competition! The Poitevin honored its first place on national assessments, with a jump to 1m94.
There were also beautiful second places, like Valentine Desprat (EGA / Agen) who was able to ensure a precious place of Dauphine behind an untouchable athlete of the Pays de la Loire, thanks to Jet at 36m17 (personal record) on the disc, made from his first attempt.
Certainly, Limoges Athlé will have done us good on 200m hurdles this weekend, with the victory of Violette Pradon-Jarry among the girls, but also with the second place of Jules Romanet, who took the opportunity to lower his record in 25.57 (-0.2 of wind). Aligned on the slightly higher hedges of the 100m hurdles (84cm against 76cm for the 200m hedges), Tomas Le Feuvre (Entente Bruges St Bruno) took a beautiful 4th in the scratch (1is from final 2) in 13.27 (zero wind). Personal record in the pocket for him too. But he did even stronger by finishing 2th Disc, a little earlier, with a 47m42 jet, which allows it to display a progression of more than 10 meters in a year on this event!
Jules Romanet also had two tests to be performed on this national day day. The young Limougeaud did honor to a particularly important event in his club, ranking 6th in the triple jump with 13m01 (+1.3 of wind). The only male representative of the Lana on 120m, Nil Denis (AS17 – Saintes) has shown that we knew how to get out of sprinters at the moment in Saintes. It finishes 5th from its final in 14.08 (+1.3 wind).
Long throws also brought us big points among boys, thanks to Gabin Charron (Niortais stadium) in particular, which exploded its record for a good meter by making its javelin sting at 49m53. A performance that allowed him to place his name in second position on the results sheet! The progression is even more impressive for Clément Foloppe (CA Brive), which pushed its hammer record by more than 4 meters. A record that now displays 44m95 on its FFA file. It’s very simple, in a year, Clément won 10 meters! And this weekend, he brought us 10 precious points. Engaged on the other hammer competition, Etienne Sohier (US Aigrefeuille) catapulted his machine at 41m75.
The League was also able to count on its Basque athletes, who will have crossed the whole of France this weekend. This obviously did not prevent Kamila Lagrange-Iroz (AS Ascain Elgarrekin) from gaining third place with 11m64. Personal record as a bonus! Coming from the Basque Country too, Louis Guirao (Basque Country Athlé – St Jean de Luz) swapped his usual sprint/hedges for the good of the team, and thus fall back on the length. It finishes 10th competition with a jump to 5m94. But he was really not lucky with the wind, which was blowing at -2.2m / s on his best attempt, while Maxime Jolivot (AS17 / Royan) had exactly the same wind force when he made 5m81 (11th), but in the back this time.
The wind may have embarrassed Tanguy Faugerolle (Grand Angoulême Athlé) also, who still took the 6th Place of the pole competition, with a bar crossed at 3m70. Behind him, Firmin MENANTEAU (Basque Country Athlé / St Jean de Luz) ranks 8th, after having taken away at 3m50.
Scheduled before at the end of the day, the 1000m is now running in the middle of the minimal program. But Mohamed Souidi (ASPTT Agen) was perfectly accommodated, ranking 3rd of the 2 and a half laps, in 2.35.45. In its wake, Luis Bigneres (UA Coteaux de Garonne) crossed the line in 8th position, with a time of 2.39.94. With double distance, Simon Durst (Grand Angoulême Athlé) ranks 9th of the race, in 13th
Our walkers did not deserve them either. Gabriel Labre (AS17 Saintes) and Enzo Celhay (Su Agen) completed their 3,000m respectively in 15.58.78 (5 points) and 16.42.31.
The performance density of our female team is particularly interesting with several places around the Top 5. Thus, Manon Comte-Ducourt (Dordogne Athlé) finished 5th from the female pole, with a 3m05 jump. In another competition, Adèle Joguet (Pessac AC) only conceded 10 centimeters, taking off at 2m95. 5th place also for Julie Chatellier (FA Barret Barbezieux) who pushed her record up to 11m53 (+0.9 wind) among the corons. Shana Noailhac (CA Brive) achieves a triple-saut at 10m64 (+1.3 wind) in the same competition. Without forgetting Emie Durst (Grand Angoulême Athletics) which ends at the foot of the top 5 on 1000m, in 3.00.26 (personal record).
Lisa Guettet (Mont-de-Marsan stadium) and Marie Ducrocq (Dordogne Athlé) each brought 7 points to the collective, launching the javelin at 30m34, and swallowing her 3,000m marches in 16.25.65. Zoé Larue (Us Cenon) will arrive a little after in 17.39.48. Aligned in series 2 of the 120m, Clémence Leprince (AC St Palais) and Juliette Adam (his Mérignac) were respectively timed in 15.43 (8 points) and 15.66 (+0.4 wind). 8 points also for Clotide Lecroart (his Mérignac) who therefore took the 8th Place of the 2,000m, in 6.39.88.
We do not forget the athletes who were registered outside the rankings, but who deserved their place among the best athletes in the region, like Fanta Kébé (Grand Angoulême Athletics) who ejected his 39m28 hammer, Lilly Dafee (Parentis Sport) in 10.79 on 80m, Lilly Richards (Dordogne Athlé) in 3.10.55 Pauline eating-plawinski (Athlé Basin Entente) in 12.16 on 80m hurdles, Romane Allary (Athlé Basin Agreement) at 30m35 on the disc, Corentin Pateyron (Limoges Athlé) in 31.27 on 200m hurdles, Basile Pareja (Langonnais stadium) at 1m70 in height, Augustin Faure (EPA86) Enzo Barale (Athlé Basin Agreement) at 38m23 on the disc, or even Maëlys Gautier: Excellent 3th 200m hurdles in 29.75 (+1.3 wind).
And we do not forget our young judges, who have largely contributed to this success thanks to the points they brought:
– Hadrien Terrenes (Pessac AC) 14 points
– Lily Balligand (Bordeaux stadium) 14 points
– Munia Arizaga Irigaray (with Ascain thirds) 14 Points
