planets, comets and sharing evening for the night of the stars

For the Night of the Stars, Science side organized the evening of Friday 1^is August on the Esplanade des Libertés, in the courtyard of the Pierre-et-Marie-Curie school and at the M270, different activities to observe the celestial vault and discover astronomy. Many children, accompanied by their parents or grandparents, participated in this evening. All were able to observe the sky by means of the many telescopes available.

Inside Sciences side, drawing and comic book enthusiasts were able to attend an improvisation drawing battle thanks to the Croc in legs association. A Maesta Theater show was offered to the public, mixing music, video and theater. Brass astronomers, thanks to a stellarium and tablets, studied the sky, this observation area was animated by the Astronomy Association Gironde 33 in the school courtyard. On the Science side had thought of several workshops: survival on the moon, training of a scholarship, water rocket, sky map … inside the M270, the Pop Up exhibition was to be visited.

The volunteers of the Relais Residents and Food Trucks group provided catering and refreshment bar to allow visitors to spend a pleasant evening. Sound ricochet (DJ) ambianted the evening.

This enriching evening was offered by Cap Sciences, on the Sciences side in partnership with the city of Floirac. The objective of this system, supported by Bordeaux Métropole, is to bring the inhabitants of a municipality to discuss and debate on subjects of science and social.

Note the participation of the AG33 (astronomy Gironde 33), the AEPIC (amateurs space pic), the SAB (Astronomical Society of Bordeaux), and the optical space, Aquitanis, the local Mission of Bordeaux, the M Café and the Social Center Agire which made this event interesting to the public.
