Porrentruy’s skatepark concrete has become a sharing and learning field

Under the A16 bridge, the boards roll, the figures are linked and the laughter resonates. Every day, novices and experts share the 600 m² concrete dedicated to skateboarding, BMX and scooter.

A vast site thought by the members of the Mizendrope association, who wanted to see a free skatepark appeared open to all in Porrentruy-unlike the covered structure of the Grandes Vies, finally dismantled in early July.

It has become his daily meeting. For more than a year and a half, Thomas Hofsteter, 22, has been going to Skatepark every day at the end of the afternoon, after work. A place that allowed the young man of Courtedoux to find a real passion. “I was watching a lot of skateboard videos but I had never really got into it.”

It took the sliding spot to sort of earth so that it would go to practice regularly. Now he can train freely when he wishes. “It’s the time of the day I let off steam but above all, here, we are free, we can please ourselves,” he explains.
