“It’s wonderful, but at the same time it’s sad … It doesn’t make sense, we shouldn’t be forced to go through the media!” Soufflé Manon Joyal, who received the good news on Wednesday morning, five days after its public release.
The arc has been asking for a few thousand dollars for about a year, due to a leaflet that an agent had counted doubles by countering his declaration of income.

Mme Joyal had to fill a recovery request even if she was not behind the error, and the file was blocked for months.
A few days before calling The newspaperthis retired social worker who nevertheless continues to work for a few hours a week in the health network as an autonomous worker, had received a letter asking her to authorize a representative to get involved in the file.
This umpteenth request was the drop of water that made the vase overflow. “It’s special, I have never sent the letter, but they were able to solve the problem anyway,” quipsme Joyal.
But the file is not fully set. The arc always claims some sums for provisional deposits that Mme Joyal claims to have already paid. But it is well indicated in the agency’s communications not to take this balance into account if it has already been acquitted.
Little train goes far
Besides, Mme Joyal is in communication with the office of the taxpayers’ ombudsman, responsible for improving the arc service.
As the Montrealer did not file a complaint in good and due form with the arc, the ombudsman let him know that he will not be able to take care of it immediately and examine his file as such.
“It’s so complicated to file a complaint, that I came across The newspaper Before finding who to contact the income agency, “explains Manon Joyal, who deplores that the arc teams work too” in silo “.
In an email at the taxpayer, the Ombudsman emphasizes that it is aware of this issue. “Our team of systemic examinations could examine it more closely to determine whether it is possible to examine it from a systemic point of view,” wrote a spokesperson, in a stunning formulation to say the least.
