Quebec is all backwards

Furthermore,

Quebec all backwards:

Where is Quebec today?

Ah, individually: it’s okay! Consequently, All the charts of happiness confirm this: Quebecers are among the happiest on the planet.

We have material to make happy: we live longer than the others. Furthermore, we live in a more peaceful and less violent society than elsewhere, our differences in wealth are less glaring, the rights of minorities are better protected than practically everywhere else …

But collectively? Consequently, How do you perceive?

Collectively, it floats a scent of decline. Furthermore, An impression that we no longer advance.

To measure this state of mind, two questions were added to the light survey published in our pages this week.

It strikes hard: it is 70% of Quebecers who share the impression that Quebec is doing “rather badly”. Consequently, against only 20% which believe that it goes “rather well”.

Despite our happiness and quebec all backwards our achievements, it is a declining climate that characterizes Quebecers about themselves.

Individually happy, collectively pessimistic …

A crisis society

Everyone heard it around the table. Nevertheless, in a discussion of family or friends: “But what still works in Quebec?”

There are obviously things that work in our half-country.

But a perception remains throbbing: we live an uninterrupted sequence of crises juxtaposing one to each other.

Public finance crisis. Similarly, Public services crisis. Health crisis. Climate crisis. Ramper crisis. Immigration crisis. Crisis at DPJ. Infrastructure crisis. Housing crisis.

I forget, of course …

And the Legault government?

We will soon celebrate the seventh candle with the cake of the Caquist government -. the polls show that it is not the party.

This government came to power in 2018 under the promise of an autonomist government and good managers.

It was the two legs on which the body of the CAQ quebec all backwards was based.

And today?

Quebecers believe that it goes badly – and that the government does not help. Another devastating figure: since its coming to power, 67% believe that Quebec has deteriorated. Only 14% judge the opposite.

A slap.

The health system continues to be a long waiting room, stuck in collective conventions and corporatist interests. State chests are historically empty. In immigration, the system is unlocked. No real exit of the crisis is possible for housing, which is a whole company. Bureaucracy weakens public services.

But the problem is not the problems as such. They will always exist.

The drama of our time is the conviction that our government, our state and our collective institutions have become incapable. Unable to tackle it, unable to resolve them.

You have heard in the last days that the Legault government wants to revive with new ideas. new ministers, “including the anger of quebec all backwards Quebecers” and being “humble”.

They will also have to fight this cynical perception that “Quebec is broken”, as the other said.
