California Governor Gavin Newsom intends to review the electoral card of his state for mid-term elections in order to counterbalance rediscovery in other states, including Texas, which could offer new seats to Donald Trump.
Mr. Newsom is expected to present, on Thursday afternoon, his “Election Rigging Response Act” which should include a new electoral card for California and which would benefit the Democrats.
The governor’s press office has published a series of messages on X, taking up several formulations often used by Donald Trump on his social network, to foam this announcement.

Thursday was also described as a “liberation day”, the same name as the head of state had used when he had presented his customs prices imposed on the world last spring.
Gavin Newsom had given an ultimatum to the American president on Monday, asking that the efforts to rediscover the electoral card in the republican states be abandoned, otherwise California would act in order to “rebound this manipulation”.
“California cannot remain their arms crossed while this grabbing of power takes place,” he wrote. If the other states cease their efforts, we will happily do the same, and American democracy will come out of it. ”
The governor will address the media at 2:30 p.m. concerning this bill.
The electoral rediscovery has been in handling for several weeks since Democratic elected officials fled Texas to prevent the damage of the quorum necessary for the adoption of these changes to the limits of the various constituencies.
In response to this opposition, the American administration had launched Civilian arrest warrants at the place of these elected officials from the Texan Parliament.
