The chemist of EMS-chemical specialties suffered in the first half of the overall economic slowdown caused by part by trade tensions. The turnover has thus folded, also weighed down by the force of the franc, but the profitability has progressed.
(Keystone-ATS) Sales broke 6.2% over a year at 1.02 billion francs, the group led by the national councilor UDC Magdalena Martillo-Blocher on Friday. The exchange effects affected the recipes up to 2.5%.
The result before interest, taxes, depreciations and depreciation (EBITDA) signed up at 323 million francs, which represents an increase of 1.3% for an improved margin of 2.3 percentage points at 31.7%. The operating profit EBIT took 1.4% at 296 million. The related margin increased by 2.2 points to 29%.
The figures published exceed the forecasts of the AWP consensus, with the exception of the turnover that analysts awaited on average at 1.04 billion francs.
For 2025, management tables a drop in revenue due to currency effects, but an EBIT result. The economic context should be difficult throughout the year.
