In Zeebruges too, no parking meter: this is the blue area, with deterrent parking lots available.
€ 2.50 per hour in Knokke
In all other municipalities, a system of zones is set up … and it is difficult to find your way around. Red, green, mauve, pink, orange zone … A complexity that comes from the lack of coordination between entities and the presence of zones “seasonal“(namely paid only in good season).
“Tourists fridge”, dress code, mobility … The new N-VA bourgmestre in Knokke answers DH questions: “Keep your bikini for the beach”
It is in Knokke-Heist that parking is the most expensive. Count 2.50 €/h in orange and red zone. In the green zone, a daily package amounts to € 12.50, namely the highest in the coast. To which are added blue areas, but far from the sea and limited to 4 hours. Let us also recall that the municipality has set up an unprecedented mobility plan for the days of strong crowds. These days of saturation of the center car parks, tourists for a day must park in a deterrent car park and can no longer leave their vehicle in roads in the Knokkois center.
Knokke prohibits tourists by car: you will now have to walk 3 kilometers to reach the beach!
In Blankenberge Salé is also the parking meter ticket. The red zone amounts to € 2.50 per hour. The daily rate is € 7.50 in orange areas, which prove to be few.
In Ostend, several free car parks are available but limited, and several streets are unregulated. In the orange zone, you will have to pay € 1.40 per hour, and € 0.75 in the green zone and in “seasonal area“.

Advantageous daily packages
In Middelkerke, the parking lot returns to 1 or 2 € per hour in the red or green zone. Blue areas are quite far from the sea but daily packages (€ 5 per day in pink areas, € 3 per day in yellow zone) are possible in certain places.
In Nieuport, the center is mainly in the orange zone: € 1/h, or € 6 per day. In Coxyide, few blue areas: along the coastline is mainly in “purple zone”, at the rather advantageous rate compared to Knokke (€ 7 per day).
Finally, the failure is mainly in the orange zone (€ 6 for half a day). To park for 5 € per day, you have to go to the green zone, on the side of the Westhoek reserve.
Note: Bredene does not have real paid “zones” with different colors. In addition to the blue zone limited in time, there are several paid parking spaces, with prices between 1 and 3 € per hour. A € 3 per day formula is possible at Staf Versluys.
