The iPhone, Samsung and Google Pixel have a big defect compared to high -end smartphones offered by certain Chinese brands, such as Xiaomi, Oppo or OnePlus. As a general rule, battery recharging is much slower on Apple, Samsung or Google Pixel products, compared to the owner charging technologies offered by these Chinese brands. As we mentioned in our test, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has one of the slowest charging technologies on the market. One of its competitors, the Xiaomi 15, can recharge completely in less than 50 minutes, thanks to a 90 W charging technology.
But, the good news is that Samsung would finally solve this problem on its high -end smartphones. In an article published this week, our colleagues from Android Authority relay a publication of Ice Universe, a source which is regularly cited by the media, on this subject. Previously, this source has already mentioned an improvement in the recharge speed on the future Galaxy S26 Ultra, which will be released in early 2026. And in its new publication, Ice Universe is even more precise. According to this, the Galaxy S26 Ultra would have a quick recharge which should exceed 45 W in order to reach a record recharging speed for a Samsung model.
It is 100% confirmed that Samsung S26 Ultra will exceed the charging power of 45w!

A necessity?
For the moment, caution is in order, since this information does not come from an official source. However, it would be more than time that Samsung looks at the recharge technology for its devices, which is completely overwhelmed compared to what certain Chinese brands offer. Among the champions in the matter, there is the Realme brand. One of its models, the Realme GT7 PRO recharges 100 % in 37 minutes, thanks to a 120 W charging technology. But there are even smartphones which are recharged at 240 W and which reach the 100 % battery in no time.
On the other hand, Android Authority warns that, if Samsung increases the recharging speed on the ultra galaxy S26, it is possible that the manufacturer is based on proprietary technology. As a result, the user may have to buy a charger box sold separately by the manufacturer to take advantage of this advantage.
But, in any case, combined with the other advantages of Samsung smartphones, faster charging technology could make Galaxy S26 Ultra a perfect smartphone.
- Samsung smartphones have a defect: compared to the high -end devices offered by certain Chinese brands, those of Samsung recharge quite slowly
- But Samsung could finally solve this problem on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which arrives next year
- The manufacturer would offer more than 45 W upload which would be a new record for a Samsung device
- On the other hand, the manufacturer could rely on a proprietary technology, which would oblige its customers to use a special charger case
