Samsung’s connected glasses are coming soon, here is what we know

Samsung should market connected screen-free glasses at Meta Ray-Ban, before the end of 2026. They will integrate into the Galaxy ecosystem and will be fueled by IA.

Meta is currently the undisputed leader in connected glasses, but the other tech giants are ready to land on this market to compete with it, and try to democratize it with the general public. And who is better placed than Samsung to do this? The manufacturer is focusing on its vast ecosystem of Galaxy devices to make the most of connected glasses, which could communicate with brand smartphones and watches.

According to the South Korean economic media FledSamsung could announce this new product by the end of 2026. These would be screenless glasses here. They should not be confused with mixed reality glasses, Project Haean, on which Samsung works with Google, and which could be revealed at the end of 2025 or current 2026.

Meta in pole, Samsung and Google in pursuers, Apple lagging behind

Like the Ray-Ban Meta, these Samsung connected glasses would be Equipped with speakers, microphones and a photo sensor. The features are necessarily more limited than with augmented reality glasses with screens. But at first, this type of accessory should be much easier to impose on consumers. These simpler glasses are lighter and comfortable, more autonomous, and also cheaper, important in order to create a strong adoption.

These glasses will be fed by AI and should act as real assistants. They will undoubtedly be an extension of our smartphone, making it possible to carry out certain actions without having to get your device out of the pocket. The great interest of connected glasses is that they are able to share the user’s point of view in real time, allowing the system to adapt continuously. Industry experts believe that AI capacity progression should explode the demand for connected glasses.

Moreover, mastery of AI gives a certain advantage to firms like Google and Samsung. More in difficulty on this ground, Apple should accuse a certain delay in the field of connected glasses.
