On the occasion of the Shark Week, Discovery Channel has planned a whole program dedicated to the big sites. Between exciting and chills documentaries, there is something to get hot.
Each summer, Discovery Channel celebrates these fascinating – and sometimes dreaded – Squal with the Shark Weekan appointment has become cult since 1988. For its 37ᵉ edition, planned for Monday July 28 to Sunday August 3the channel offers a program rich in marine sensations and discoveries.
A biting program from July 28 to August 3
- Monday 28 – 11 p.m.: Marteaux sharks: mystery birth
Exploration of the reproduction and life cycle of the Shark Shark, Mothers in Nurseries. - Tuesday 29 – 11 p.m.: Shark bites: the teeth of death
Diving in attacks: jaw anatomy, reconstruction of incidents. - Wednesday 30 – 11 p.m.: Abyss sharks: unknown creatures
Discovering abyssal species, little known to the general public. - Thursday 31 – 11 p.m.: Sharktopia: the shark paradise
A positive look at marine biodiversity and the importance of ecosystems. - Friday 1st – 11 p.m.: Survive in sharks: user manual
Paul de Gelder, Shark attack survivor, shares his experience and advice. - Saturday 2 – 11 p.m.: On the spot! When sharks counter attacks

Techniques and stories to understand and avoid dangers.

Shark Week 2025, between spectacle and pedagogy
The 2025 edition imposes a nuanced tone: the programs combine entertainment – with catchy titles, spectacular images – and scientistespecially via experts and survivors. In continuation of previous years, Discovery now integrates learning on the conservation, behavior and place of sharks in the marine ecosystem. Enough to break myths on large whites while aware of the preservation of these fascinating species.
