In the space of a few days in July, two cats were injured by ball in the region of Starrkirch-Wil, in the canton of Soleure, reports “20 minutes».
The first case occurred while the couple of owners were on vacation. Their cat, under the supervision of a loved one, had disappeared. When they returned, they could see thanks to a video surveillance that their cat wandered, visibly in bad shape, around the house. It was finally found in the neighbor’s garden, reports the media.
A amputated paw
After a tour with the veterinarian, the radiography revealed that Matou’s paw had been reached by a firearm shot. The paw in question had to be amputated.
A few days later, a second case occurred, explains “20 minutes”. In a similar case, a cat is found seriously injured, and the radio reveals that the latter was hit by a bullet. Housed in the spine, it could not be removed, the operation being considered too dangerous, explains the media. Fortunately, the cat is still alive and convalescence.
Contacted by “20 minutes”, the Soleur police confirmed these two cases and explains that an investigation has been opened.
