The battery of the iPhone 17 Air would be really riquiqui

The battery of the very fine iPhone 17 Air would be really very small with a capacity below 3000 mAh.

The iPhone 17 Air is expected for the month of September and should stand out for its extreme finesse (still recently seen in image).

However, the eternal problem of so fine smartphones obviously remains the battery. The Leaker Majin BU, via its official website, claims to share photos of the said battery of the iPhone 17 Air and accompanies images with unreasing information.

2900 mAh

Indeed, he claims that the battery of the iPhone 17 Air would have a capacity of only about 2900 mAh. It’s tiny, even for Apple standards.

Drawing in particular on iOS optimizations, Apple has never really bet on large battery capacities. The iPhone 16 of last year, for example, was 3561 MAH and it is a small model.

Another comparison, at Samsung, the Galaxy S25 Edge, also very fine, has a 3900 mAh battery.

A steel case

Majin BU also specifies that the battery of the iPhone 17 Air would be integrated into a steel case, like what we have seen on the iPhone 16 Pro.

This material has several advantages: it facilitates heat dissipation to preserve the battery and allows better density of the battery thanks to increased structural resistance. In addition to all this, a steel case is easily shaped to take an L form and integrate perfectly into the phone.

Some will necessarily be worried about seeing such a small battery in the iPhone 17 Air. Will the latter fall back into the autonomy of the old iPhone Mini models or will he be able to take advantage of a series of well-crafted optimizations? These questions are obviously unanswered.
