The bourgmestre asks for two sections and a permanent radar on Huy, because hunting at excessive speed is one of the city’s priorities

When will these arrangements?

The objectives of such a request are clear. The communal college wants to improve the safety of users, whatever they are, and in particular on the sections which are recognized for their dangerousness: Quai d’Arona, avenue de l’Industrie and avenue de Beaufort, therefore the N90. He also wishes to reduce excessive speeds, especially near commercial areas and schools. Finally, he would like the MESTA radar, located along the avenue de l’Industrie, to be deleted because it is to install a stretch radar would be more relevant.

To consider such a request, the municipal college has naturally relied on the objectified observations drawn up by the Huy police area, with an adaptation of the maximum speed authorized to the industry quay. It is currently 90 km/h maximum, the demand to get it to 70 has been made.

And there, the bourgmestre Christopher Collignon has just questioned Minister François desquesnes. Asking him where the analysis of this request is, what follow -up, the public service of Wallonia mobility and infrastructures will give it and what maturity. Moreover, “What are the concrete perspectives with regard to the possible adaptation of the authorized speed on the N90?” Because it will be the prerequisite for the installation of a sectional radar on this area, at the quay of industry. Finally, what financial help can the city of Huy hope? This is also one of the questions asked by the bourgmestre to the Walloon Minister of Infrastructure and Mobility.
