“His father was saved by the airbag of the car, but he suffers from many bruises, just like his wife,” said Match René Levy, president of the Jewish Observatory of France, whose victim’s grandfather, Raphaël Chemouni, is vice-president. “His 12-year-old little brother had to be hospitalized, but he is better and has to return to France this Sunday, August 17,” he continues, adding that the burial of the young Ava will take place on Tuesday 19.
“A life full of life”
Originally from Charenton-le-Pont, in Val-de-Marne, and daughter of two doctors, Ava was a “brilliant” high school student, who had obtained “several prizes of excellence”, according to the same source. During her free time, the girl liked to take care of children and was a scout head. “She was a teenager full of life, passionate about singing, whose smile and light will remain forever engraved in our memories,” we also read in the tribute made to her by the Jewish Observatory of France.
His death is “a real drama” which obviously affects his relatives a lot and the whole of the Val-de-Marnaise Jewish community. But René Levy denounces the fact that the announcement of this death on social networks was accompanied by many anti -Semitic messages. “It was only a teenager from a family that can be cited as an example,” he insists.
