For those who have missed the departure of the 9e Stage from the Tour de France Sunday, July 13 (and for those who were present but want to relive this rare moment in the history of a city), the municipality has decided to publish a special 24 -page number devoted to this day rich in emotions. We find there the different stages which led to the organization of this departure towards Châteauroux, like the many events and animations which preceded the D -Day.
The great champions of yesterday, like the Jocondien Jean-Pierre Danguillaume, the man with the seven stages victories on the Grande Boucle, Bernard Thévenet, double winner of the Tour in 1975 and 1977, or Jérémy Roy, “The premises of the stage”, also bring their testimony to this particular day.
The director of the Tour, Christian Prudhomme, adds his lighting on this departure in a city invaded by enthusiasts. Without forgetting the passage of the female Tour a few weeks later which is also entitled to its retrospective. The opportunity also to salute the elected officials who have worked for years so that this event was a success.
The whole thing is embellished by an impressive number of photos which makes this special issue a real collector’s album to immortalize this July 13.
