The new sports car duo Toyota/Lexus is back for the second day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025. Both the road model and its racing counterpart have already climbed the famous hill, but what has Really Cait our attention, this is the after-race interview with the development pilots.
We have learned that cars have been in preparation for more than four years, the circuit tests that started about a year and a half ago. They are not yet completely finished, but to judge from the inside, the official revelation cannot be long. As there are not yet a press photos available, we will have to be satisfied with screenshots of the Livestream, which show the interior of the version approved for the road.

We used Photoshop and a little AI magic to improve the brightness and the exposure of the upper image, revealing more details. The screenshot not published is attached just above. Sporting a mainly red interior, the LFR (Confirmed name) is equipped with a pair of carbon bucket seats separated by a large central console. Although a manual gearbox has never been really expected, the new Lexus (or is it a toyota?) Supercar has a small selector for automatic transmission.
The two -color dashboard hosts a decent size touch screen and what seems to be physical switches located just below. Unfortunately, there are also some lacquered black accents and hexagonal side vents. Like the dashboard, the mirror is digital, displaying the images of a back -oriented camera. Overall, the cabin looks more like that of a real sports car compared to the RC F that it is supposed to replace.
This would make sense, since the LFR is supposed to be a road version of the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT3. Lexus still does not confirm what propels the two -seater coupe, but according to the sounds that the two cars emit Goodwood Festival of Speeda V-8 seems very likely. Whether it is bi-turbo and/or hybrid remains to be seen, although this is what the reports of Japan claim.

The GR GT3 should start running in 2026, four years after the eponymous concept was revealed to Tokyo car fair. This suggests that the wait is almost over, not only for the racing car, but also for its counterpart for the road. The Toyota version will probably remain reserved for the track, while the Lexus should be the one with a license plate.
Expect that the two models are revealed either later this year or in early 2026.
