The Poco M7 Plus joins the Poco M7 series, providing enormous improvements such as a massive battery with a capacity of 7,000 mAh and an improved construction. There are also some degradations, one of them being the absence of the audio intake.
Poco, Xiaomi property, expanded its Poco M7 series with a new model called Poco M7 Plus 5G. This new smartphone is added to the Poco M7 Pro (read our opinion) released in December 2024 and the Poco M7 5G will be released in March 2025.
The Poco M7 Plus 5G presents a different design from that of its brothers and sisters. While it has a flat screen with a centered hole for the front camera, the curved quadrupling back houses a double -camera configuration housed in an island of a protruding pill.
Available in three colors (aqua blue, carbon black and chrome silver), the Poco M7 Plus has red and blue lines around the phone. It is waterproof for dust and water according to IP64 standard, an improvement compared to the IP53 standard of the Poco M6 Plus.
The Poco M7 Plus is larger than its predecessor because its screen has gone from a 6.79 -inch LCD 120Hz slab to an FHD+ 6.9 inch screen with a 144Hz refreshment rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Food by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3le M7 Plus has 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB MicroSD card location.
Poco replaced the main rear camera of 108 MPX F/1.8 of the Poco M6 Plus by a 50 Mpx f/1.8 sensor and associated it with an unpertified secondary camera. We believe that this is a 2MP sensor like that of the Poco M7 Pro (currently available on Amazon. of 165 €). Nevertheless, there are some functions of practices such as AI gum, the replacement of the sky of AI and the dynamic shooting of IA. The phone also has an 8 megapixel selfie camera.
The greatest improvement in the Poco M7 Plus compared to its predecessor is the capacity of its battery, which went from 5,030 mAh to the M6 plus to a huge 7,000 mAh. The Silicon Carbon battery always supports the fast load at 33 W, but it can now recharge other devices with an impressive power of 18 W. Poco claims that the battery has a durability of 4 years and that it will keep 80% of its capacity after 1600 cycles.
Poco delivers the phone with Android 15 and revealed that he will receive 2 generations of Android updates and 4 years of software and security updates. The other features are a lateral fingerprint reader, support for the double SIM card, an IR blaster and Wet Touch 2.0 technology that allows users to use the phone with wet hands. Unfortunately, Poco has chosen to remove the audio plug.
The Poco M7 Plus will be available on Flipkart from August 19. Prices start at ₹ 13,999 (~ 160 €/137 €) for the basic model and ₹ 14,999 (~ 172 €/146 €) for the 8GB RAM version.
