The president of the National Maja Riniker concludes her visit to Ukraine

The president of the National Council Maja Riniker (PLR/AG) concluded her visit to Ukraine with interviews with representatives of local authorities in the city of Vinnytsia, in the center of the country. Switzerland has been engaged in the region for twenty years.

(Keystone-ATS) This on -site engagement has become even more important since the start of the Russian assault war against Ukraine, the Argovian said on Thursday, cited in a post of the Parliament services on the X platform.

The projects supported by Switzerland in Central Ukraine relate in particular to energy efficiency, economic reconstruction and public transport, is specified.

Tuesday, Maya Riniker visited Swiss projects in the Kharkiv region, in eastern Ukraine. In this region, Switzerland supports projects as part of humanitarian aid, demining and vocational training.

On Monday, the president of the National met in kyiv the president of the Ukrainian parliament, Rouslan Stefantchouk, as well as President Volodymyr Zelensky. The latter thanked Switzerland for its support and expressed the hope that Berne is associated with the repatriation efforts of Ukrainian children abducted in Russia.

Maja Riniker was accompanied on his trip by the national councilor Laurent Wehrli (PLR/VD), president of the National Policy Commission.
