The SNCB “deplores the incident” and investigation into the intervention of Securail in Brussels-Nord

The incident occurred at Brussels-North station after the three women, including a Belgian and two Norwegians, went on the train to Vilvorde. Unable to buy a ticket from the automatic distributor, they were arrested by the controller, who would have made racist remarks. At Brussels-Nord station, women were forced to get off the train, after which two security agents would have attacked them on the platform.

One hundred and fifty people demonstrate against the intervention of Securail

About 150 people demonstrated at the central station on Friday afternoon to express their indignation in the face of the muscular intervention of Securail, of which three women of Congolese origin were victims last Friday. Images circulating on social networks show one of the women, Grace T., suddenly immobilized on the ground. According to the demonstrators, the security agents were racism.

According to the demonstrators, there is a manifest racism, both from the driver of the train and the security agents. They require excuses from the SNCB and the immediate suspension of the security agents involved, and hope that a survey will quickly shed light on the incident.
