This beautiful blunder of Gamestop occurred in a store in Staten Island and quickly went around the web. Everything has been settled with affected customers, but Gamesop did not say its last word.
The shop has decided to shoot this misstep in good gesture by putting auction on Ebay several objects related to the accident, for the benefit of the charity of Children’s Miracle Network, which supports pediatric hospitals to improve children’s health care.
Among the items on sale on eBay, we find the famous stapler, a damaged switch 2 console (but repaired), its original packaging pierced, as well as the clip itself, meticulously preserved in a pocket.
The whole is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Ryan Cohen, CEO of Gamesop, who describes the incident as “a moment of hasty launch” which nevertheless gave birth to a “retail legend”.
When writing these lines, the auction has already crossed US $ 110,000. There are still six days left, so the hundreds of people trying to get their hands on the Lot will have to wait any more.
“Although the incident has been unhappy, we hope that its inheritance will be used for a larger goal,” it is able to read on the eBay sheet.
