There was no surprise. Unlike the first two Sprint qualifying sessions of the season, no one was able to beat the championship leader, namely Oscar Piastri. The Australian, untouchable on Friday, even broke the tour record in Belgium. He was ahead of Max Verstappen, still comfortable in Spa, and his teammate Land Norris.
Behind Charles Leclerc, fourth, there are sacred performances. Starting with that of the French Esteban Ocon, which will start in fifth position this Saturday noon, ahead of Carlos Sainz. The other two tricolor pilots are also in the top since Pierre Gasly signed the eighth time of qualifying before Isack Hadjar, ninth.
On the other hand, big disillusionment for the two Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton pilots. Thus, George Russell will only leave in thirteenth position and his teammate, Kimi Antonelli will leave even further, only 19th, just in front of the seven-time British world champion, who went to the last turn in his last round in SQ1 when he was in improvement.
The departure of this Sprint racing from the GP of Belgium, the third in 2025, will be given at 12 noon this Saturday.
