On the battery side, X-Half (or X-HF1) of Fujifilm is a small compact case that is both unique (with its vertical aim), playful (with its creative filters and dandruff) and magic (with its ergonomic and artistic codes of another mode). On the face side, it is a limited camera with mediocre technical and optical performance. Without electronic viewfinder, burst and adjustable screen, unable to produce RAW files, it does not meet the needs of photographers who project a modernized replacement for former expert compacts X10, X20 and X30. And for good reason: the X-Half is not a compact expert. It is a great photographic toy designed to have fun with its limits. An expensive toy, which one can legitimately wonder if he can find an audience in France and in Europe.
An alternative
The Sony ZV-1 video oriented compact is a success, which does not really surprise us since it is derived from the excellent RX100 VII. Only the absence of a livestreaming function present in some competitors is felt. For the rest, the photo and video quality is very good and the advanced functions are numerous. Sony does not forget to make the lives of photographers facilitate the lives by integrating judicious shortcuts, a amazing self -tackle while making an effort on stabilization.
