The main reason was “to exceed the authorized length of stay and violation of the law,” said this head of the State Department under the cover of anonymity, stressing that in “the vast majority of cases”, it was “aggression, driving driving, burglary and support for terrorism”.

About “4,000 of these 6,000 visas have been dismissed because these visitors have violated the law,” he said.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also revoked a number of students of students who have led critical demonstrations with regard to the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Last March, he declared to revoke visas daily, saying about militant foreign students: “Whenever I find one of these crazy people, I remove their visa”.

According to a decree taken from the first day of his presidency in January, Donald Trump called for increased control of the people entering the United States to ensure that they “have no hostile attitudes towards his citizens, his culture, his government, his institutions or his founding principles”.

Since then, the Trump administration has engaged in a series of battles against universities, canceling thousands of visas and attacking renowned universities suspected of going against the United States foreign policy interests.
