Chinese Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng, the main commercial negotiator of his country with the United States, warned in Beijing on Wednesday against ‘turbulence and transformations’ that the world knows in commercial matters.
The Asian giant made of the International Exhibition of China supply chains, organized this week in the Chinese capital this week, a forum to strengthen its image as a worldwide defender of free trade, in contrast to the Donald Trump trade war.
‘Some countries interfere with the market on the pretext of reducing risks, using measures such as the taxation of customs duties’, said on Wednesday in an allusion to the American president.
‘The unique global changes for a century are accelerating, with multiple risks that intertwine and accumulate,’ he said.
‘We must further strengthen development consensus, firmly oppose politicization, ideologization and excessive security of economic and commercial issues, and work together to preserve an open and cooperative international environment’.
