Anticipation grows in Quebec while supporters of the Canada Soccer national male team (CANMNT) are preparing to face Australia in an international friendly match on Friday October 10, 2025 at the Saputo stadium in Montreal. This match will mark an important moment for lovers of Canadian soccer, while the CANMNT (ranked 28th by FIFA) continues its preparations for a FIFA World Cup at home next summer. It will be the team’s first match in Quebec since 2017, offering a rare chance to fans of Montreal and the whole region to see the team live, at home.
Australia (ranked 24th by FIFA) participated in five consecutive world cups and will make it a sixth after having recently qualified for the FIFA World Cup 26 ™. The historic CANMNT report against the Socceroos is 3V-1N-5D, the first international match which took place in 1924.
