This source water contains a bacteria: do not drink it anymore

A 5 -liter source water can be sold at Auchan is the subject of a product recall throughout France. It can contain pseudomonas that degrade water quality.

With summer and its heat, you may recently bought a water can from Auchan. If so, be vigilant. A source water reference sold in this brand is the subject of a product recall due to the presence of Pseudomonas.

Recall Conso published this Wednesday, July 23, a sheet describing the product concerned on Wednesday, July 23. These are the 5 -liter “mountain water water” can from the Auchan distributor brand.

This very large bottle of water was marketed for three days, from July 18 to 21, 2025 in all stores of the brand across France. The product concerned by this contamination can be identified thanks to its GTIN (3596710349593), its lot number (5-188) or its minimum durability date, set for January 1, 2027.

A bacteria that can modify the appearance

The presence of pseudomonas has been detected in these water cans. Reminder Conso specifies in its file that “the consumption of product contaminated by this bacteria has no particular risk for the consumer”. However, this microorganism can cause changes in color, appearance and flavor.

This pattern is sufficient for CONSO Reminder to encourage not consuming this water. And offers consumers to bring the product to the point of sale. In doing so, they will be able to obtain a refund. This recall procedure lasts until Sunday August 17, 2025. For more information, you can call 07.52.67.38.88.
