Thunderstorms and heavy rains in Seine-Maritime
For the time being, only three departments (Manche, Calvados and Ille-et-Vilaine) are on orange alert For this stormy episode, quite classic in this season. However, it is necessary to expect it to also affect the Seine-Maritime.
“There will still be thunderstorms in the evening and at the start of the night in Seine-Maritime”, according to Guillaume Séchet, meteorologist behind the cities weather site. “They can locally be strong enough, with 20-40mm rainy accumulationthe equivalent of 15 days of rain in a few hours. »»
For its part, the Seine-Maritime Météo page provides, in “the country of Caux, the Seine valley, the agglomeration of Le Havre and Rouen”, a “moderate to strong electrical activity” and “Let’s hay up to 4cm in diameter”. A risk that Guillaume Séchet does not exclude, even if he believes that “the situation is not favorable to hailstorms”.
For the meteorologist, these thunderstorms could continue, more moderately on Saturday morning. Sunday, “The time will be very agitated, with a galebut we will rather be on an oceanic disturbance ”. And that should start a cooler week, “with temperatures below seasonal normal. We will not be on a summer scheme ”.
