Tour de France: a pro-Palestinian activist arrested after having disrupted the arrival in Toulouse

A man wearing a t-shirt on which we could read “Israel out of the Tour” (“Israel outside the Tour”) and having disrupted Wednesday the arrival of the Tour de France stage in Toulouse was arrested, AFP journalists found.

The man, who succeeded, despite the safety barriers, to reach the roadway on which the cyclists rolled, ran to the finish line, Palestinian Keffieh in hand, before being intercepted by a man of the organization in charge of stopover, then arrested.

A “punch” action

The prefecture confirmed this arrest, without providing other details, while extinction rebellion (XR) Toulouse claimed a “Pading action for Palestine”.
