The Château de Prangins (VD) invites you to make a canvas in its honor courtyard from Thursday, 21 to Saturday 23 August. This 9th edition has the trip as a common thread. “Death on the Nile” by John Guillermin, “The adventurers of the lost ark” by Steven Spielberg and “On board the Darjeeling Limited” by Wes Anderson will embark the public around the world.
(Keystone-ATS) The Swiss National Museum organizes the event in collaboration with the Cinémathèque Switzerland, one of the specialists of which will make a presentation of the film every evening. Before the projections, the public will be able to take advantage of a guided tour of the exhibition dedicated to Jules Verne.
“Death on the Nile” (1978), a classic of British cinema adapted from Agatha Christie opens the fires on Thursday. On board a boat going down the Nile, Hercule Poirot conducts the investigation after the murder of a wealthy heiress. The film brings together a beautiful skewer of actors like Peter Ustinov, Jane Birkin, Bette Davis and Mia Farrow.
Make way for action on Friday with “the adventurers of the lost ark” (1981), with Harrison Ford in the title role. On Saturday, “Above the Darjeeling Limited” (2007) tells the story of three brothers who embark aboard a train to try to reconnect. The projections will take place outside in all times.
