UDC Kevin Grangier takes the head of the Vaudoise alliance – RTS.CH

The Vaud alliance has a new president: Kevin Grangier. The ex-cantonal UDC chef succeeds PLR Marc-Olivier Buffat, reveals the Vaudois RTS office on Wednesday. The Chablaisian had left political life last year.

This specialist in political communication will have the mission of resounding a right -wing coalition divided in recent months, in particular by the cases surrounding the centrist state councilor Valérie Dittli, the question of the tax shield and the initiative which requires a reduction in tax of 12%.

Meeting on Monday evening, the presidents and state councilors of the three allied parties since 2022, the UDC, the PLR and the center unanimously affirmed their intention to continue this strategy for the municipal elections of 2026 and the cantonals of 2027.

They chose to trust the former president of the UDC, Kevin Grangier who was made available. The PLR Marc-Olivier Buffat, in office since the creation of the Alliance, did not want to continue for the next electoral deadlines. An enlargement to other parties is open.

The alliance had allowed the right to win back the majority during the cantonal elections of 2022. It was also who propelled the centrist Valérie Dittli to the Council of State.
