Trek unveils the Domane+ Alr, a new electric road bike built around an aluminum frame and a carbon fork, animated by the recent TQ HPR60 central engine. Light, well equipped and designed for the adventure, it promises up to 90 km of autonomy for a price below 4,500 euros.
Trek enriches its range of electric bikes with a brand new model cut for the road by the name of Doman+ Alr, learned Frandroid in a press release sent to the editorial staff. The particularity of this model? An aluminum frame to draw the price from the bike down, but a technical sheet all the same very attractive.
A light and compact, but powerful engine
At the heart of this Domane+ Alr is the latest TQ engine, the HPR60, unveiled in June 2025. He succeeds the HPR50 with the same philosophy: compact, discreet and light, but a notch above power. It delivers 60 nm of torque, a peak power of 350 W, and weighs only 1.924 kg.
This engine offers interesting perspectives for manufacturers: it allows them to design relatively light electric bikes. 14.39 kg for this DOMANE+ ALR trek, a really contained weight for a VAE.
The maximum autonomy announced can climb up to 90 km in Eco mode thanks to the 360 Wh battery, with the possibility of extending it via an optional extender range of 160 Wh. A 4A charger is provided to ensure recharge which should be fast.
On the transmission side, there is a 12 -speed SRAM APEX XPLR set, combined with SRAM APEX D1 hydraulic disc brakes and 160 mm discs at the front and rear, as well as BONTRAGER KWAREMONT PRO GR (700 × 32).
Under the 4,500 euros
For lovers of bikepacking or cycle tourism, Trek has planned fixing points for a luggage rack, mudguards, cans and a triangle bag. The release also makes it possible to climb up to 40 mm tires, to face more varied terrains.
This Domane+ Alr trek is offered at 4,499 euros, an attractive price with regard to its beautiful technical sheet and its reduced weight. It is available in six sizes: XS, S, M, ML, L and XL, to suit a wide range of templates.
