The contraventions were given respectively to a Driver from Texas and one from Florida, making them the first to be sanctioned not to speak English since the entry into force of a decree of President Trump last June, CNN reported.
When Barack Obama was in power, the sanctions had been reduced regarding this reason.
Trump, however, has strengthened his policies on this subject and some drivers could now be removed from the roads if they cannot speak English.
Several are in favor of these sanctions in the United States due to a road safety issue.
A person who cannot read English, nor speak or write it, could hardly be able to understand signaling, which can become a real danger on roads.
While many applaud the decree, others criticize it largely since the road industry is currently experiencing a shortage of drivers in the United States.
