“Unheard of”: audience record for the Tour de France women 2025 and Ferrand-Prévot

2.7 million viewers: this average audience, which constitutes a “historic record” for this competition, is “more than 500,000 viewers above” of the three previous editions of the competition relaunched in 2022, according to a press release from the public group, citing mediammetry figures.

The same is true for the other indicator, the audience share (PDA, proportion of viewers who followed the event), which rises to 31.6 % on average in stages (there were 9 in all).

The last, on Sunday, was the most watched: it was followed by 4.4 million viewers on average (with a peak at 7.7 million), or 41.2 % of PDA. It is “never seen for a stage of the Tour de France women, more than 10 points above the previous record,” said France Télévisions.

25.7 million viewers

Overall, 25.7 million viewers followed at least one minute from the Tour de France women 2025, “at the highest since the launch of the race in 2022”, or 7.4 million more viewers than in 2024.

By comparison, 45 million viewers had watched at least a minute from the Tour de France Men, won on July 27 by the Slovenian Tadej Pogacar.
