Overview.
Screw tightening for post -elementing smartphones
Students of gymnasiums and professional schools will no longer be able to leave their smartphone lying around on their desktop during lessons. Connected devices will now have to be put in silent mode and stored in a bag or locker during teaching time. “The school climate must promote the attention of the students,” emphasizes Lionel Eperon, director general of post -government education (DGEP). We must act on everything that risks harming their concentration capacity. ” Students will however be able to use their phone between lessons and during the lunch break. Remember that in the compulsory school, the use of such devices is prohibited Apart from specific educational activities since 2019. “It would be impossible to prohibit in principle the use of connected tools in the post -government, students being adult and owners of their device.” The objective is above all to harmonize practices and “intelligently regulate”, some teachers or establishments showing themselves more permissive than others.
An application to facilitate exchanges with parents
To consolidate the school-family relationship, the DEF is about to develop a “homemade” mobile application, a sort of official and secure communication channel. It will first facilitate exchanges with the parents of a class, replacing the circulars which are lost at the bottom of the bag or the use of third -party messaging deemed problematic for confidentiality and requiring constant availability of teachers. Other features, such as providing schedules or absence management, will be added in a second step. The launch of the application is scheduled for January 2026 in several pilot schools, then the system will be gradually deployed in all of the institutions of compulsory education.

Conclusive, the Jokers leave leave for a tour
Great novelty of the last school year, the Jokers holidays will be renewed. “The results of the first assessment are both good and bad,” says Frédéric Borloz. “This offer meets a real expectation of families. We note that parents and students are satisfied and that the total number of leave has remained rather stable, in particular thanks to a decrease in very short sickness stops. ” Some adjustments are nevertheless provided, the results of teachers and directors proving to be more mixed. On the program: an improvement in communication with parents, solving technical problems related to the computer system of absences, as well as the question of the surplus leave at the end of the year.
Alternative skills to put in the CV
Ease of contact, negotiation, emotional management, team work or physical condition … These skills may one day be included in the CV of young people who embark on the world of work or wish to continue their studies. In total, 28 so -called “transversal” skills were defined by the French -speaking intercantonal conference of public education. This tool will offer a complementary profile to students, beyond the traditional notebook. Also, each student of 10e year will receive a document attesting to its three most marked transversal skills. Three establishments will participate in a pilot phase from the start of the 2025 school year, before the system is extended.
Strict prohibition of dangerous objects
Following cases of threats and attacks that occurred in the spring, a questionnaire Was sent to all DGEO establishments to assess the nature and extent of the incidents. Since then, a measurement train has been developed, in coordination with the cantonal police. These include the distribution of flyers and circulars, the broadcast of videos ofeCop Fran1cois On social networks, as well as awareness lessons in the 8th classes. A new directive of the General Directorate of Compulsory Education (DGEO) is also being developed; it provides for the ban on holding and using any object considered as dangerous In the perimeter of the school during school time. Regarding the DGEP, the fact that certain learning requires the use of potentially dangerous objects – such as scissors or locksmith tools – will be taken into account. These teaching tools will therefore not be prohibited in the context of training, but their use will be subject to special surveillance. Finally, it will be strictly forbidden to bring your service weapon to establishments during the recruit school or rehearsal courses.
