In an interview for Rouler Magazinethe same as that of Demi Vollering, the Frenchwoman expressed a little different point of view from her runner -up. The Olympic mountain bike champion, who lost 4 kilos for her participation in the Grande Boucle, assumes this choice: “Each is preparing as she sees fit. For Roubaix, I was much heavier because I knew that I needed to be heavier to have power on the dishes.”
Despite this significant weight loss, the champion assures that “everything is under control”, she who worked with the team nutritionist for his preparation. However, she admits that she does not want to “stay like that”, recognizing that “it is not 100 %healthy.” The winner of Roubaix 2025 defends herself, however: “I did not do anything extreme and I still had energy after nine days of racing.”
